New Bucks County Voting Machines

February 13 2020

Bucks County has replaced its old voting machines with ones that include a verifiable paper ballot. These new machines will be used right away for the April 28th Pennsylvania primary election. To make sure all county residents are prepared for the next election, the Bucks County Board of Elections has provided information and tutorials on the new machines. Information is available on their website and Facebook page.

Police Promotions

February 13 2020

Congratulations to Sergeant Aileen Torrente and Detective Chris Viscardi for their recent promotions.  Sergeant Torrente becomes the first woman to hold the rank of sergeant, and is the highest-ever ranking woman in the Middletown Township Police Department. Congratulations Detective Viscardi and Sergeant Torrente!

New Customer Service Line for Residential Trash Questions & Issues

Effective January 1, 2020, all residential trash, recycling and yard waste calls are being handled by Waste Management.

Should you experience an issue with collection or have a question as to what can be placed at the curb, call 1-800-255-8479.  This is a direct dial line just for Middletown residents.  Use the key phrase “Middletown Township – Bucks County” to identify yourself to the service representative.  A representative will answer the line to resolve your issues and questions Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM until 5:00 PM.

If you need to place a call after hours or on the weekend, a voicemail system will be available.  Leave a detailed message.  Identify yourself as a “Middletown Township – Bucks County resident” and include your address, the issue and a phone number (if you wish a return call.)  Calls received after hours will be monitored to insure issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.

Bulk Waste Collection Resumes

Waste Management has resumed collection of bulk waste items.  Residents are allowed to place one (1) bulk item out on their second collection day of the week.

Martin Luther King Day

Township offices will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2020 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.  Offices will re-open on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 8:30 AM.

The Board of Supervisors will hold their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 7:00 PM in the Public Hall at the Municipal Center.

Important Note About Trash Collection Fees

Most residents recently received a notice with information about the new contract with Waste Management.
