Township of Middletown, Bucks County, PA is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Chief of Fire & Emergency Services. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with superior interpersonal communication skills and an extensive background in fire services. Also critical to this position is the ability to collaborate and build relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, especially residents, the businesses community and volunteer fire companies.
The Chief of Fire and Emergency Services will be responsible for the organization and oversight of career and volunteer fire services with week-day daytime fire suppression being provided by paid staff, while evenings and weekends are covered by four fire volunteer fire companies.
Reporting to the Township Manager, the Chief of Fire & Emergency Services is also responsible for managing the delivery of fire inspection and prevention services. In addition, this position will lead the effort to continue the transition of fire services in Middletown Township into a true combination fire department.
