Multimodal Improvement Plan

The Middletown Township Multimodal Improvement Plan (MIP) will identify opportunities to enhance pedestrian facilities (sidewalks, trails, bike lanes) and improve access to public transportation.  This plan is being fully-funded by a Transportation & Community Development Initiative (TCDI) grant of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC).  The Middletown Township Board of Supervisors has hired Simone Collins as a consultant to develop this plan.

SCHEDULED PUBLIC MEETINGS
Meeting #2: Tuesday, May 30, at 6:00PM
Meeting #3: Thursday, September 28, at 6:00PM

In addition to the public meetings, Middletown Township would like residents' input in the creation of the Multimodal Improvement Plan. There are two ways to get involved!

ONLINE MAPPING TOOL
Use this tool to draw desired bike routes, sidewalks, and trails. This tool is also useful for residents to note sidewalk gaps, desired crosswalk locations, challenging areas, and areas of safety concerns.

COMMUNITY SURVEY
The first being participating in an online survey. This survey will inform the development of the Middletown Township Multimodal Improvements Plan which will analyze existing pedestrian & bicycle infrastructure and propose improvements to increase overall safety for all modes of transportation.  Reducing reliance on single-occupant motor vehicles is a strategic goal for Township planning.
