June 04 2026
This summer, the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad, in partnership with Redner’s and Giant, is hosting a community food drive to support local children and families facing food insecurity during the summer months.
When school lets out, many children lose access to regular school breakfasts and lunches. Community food drives help bridge this gap by providing meals, snacks, and support for families in need throughout the summer.

Why It Matters
Thousands of students in the Neshaminy area rely on school meal assistance programs during the school year. During summer break, many families face additional challenges accessing meals and support.
According to organizations addressing hunger and food insecurity, community food drives help ensure children and families have access to meals when school is not in session.
Together, we can help ensure no child goes hungry this summer.
