PennDOT Construction Continues on Langhorne-Yardley Road and Woodbourne Road through March
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that construction activities will continue throughout March on Langhorne-Yardley Road and Woodbourne Road as part of an ongoing project to improve traffic flow and safety at key intersections in Middletown Township.
Weekday lane closures with flagging will occur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM through March 31, 2026, at the following locations:
-
Langhorne-Yardley Road between Bridgetown Pike and Briggs Road
-
Woodbourne Road between Kilburn Road and the entrance to Core Creek Park
-
Ellis Road between Fulling Mill Road and Woodbourne Road
Drivers should expect periodic delays and are encouraged to allow extra time when traveling through these areas. All construction activities are weather dependent.
This work is part of PennDOT’s larger infrastructure improvement project designed to reduce congestion, improve safety, and enhance mobility for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists. Improvements include roadway realignment, installation of upgraded traffic signals, roadway widening, construction of auxiliary turn lanes, ADA curb ramps, signage, lighting, stormwater management upgrades, and resurfacing.
Construction on Langhorne-Yardley Road and Woodbourne Road is expected to continue through early 2026.
