Cooling Centers Open in Middletown Township Due to High Temperatures
With high temperatures expected this week, Middletown Township has opened Cooling Centers to provide residents with a safe, air-conditioned place to escape the heat.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of these locations during operating hours, especially older adults, young children, individuals with medical conditions, and anyone without access to air conditioning.

Middletown Senior Center – Library
Open: July 1 & July 2
Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Middletown Township Municipal Building – Public Hall
Open: July 1, July 2 & July 3
Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Heat Safety Tips
As temperatures rise, remember to:
- Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.
- Limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
- Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
- Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle.
