Holiday Trash Collection Changes & Township Office Schedule

Trash Collection Changes – New Year’s Day (Thursday, Jan. 1)
There will also be no trash collection on Thursday, January 1. Collection will be delayed by one day:

  • Thursday’s collection → Friday, Jan. 2
  • Friday’s collection → Saturday, Jan. 3
Township Holiday Office Schedule
Middletown Township offices will be closed on Thursday, January 1 for New Years Day and reopen on Friday, January 2 at 8:30 AM.
In the event of an emergency, please dial 911.

Christmas Tree Disposal
Christmas trees are picked up on residents’ collection day throughout the month of January.  Make sure all of the decorations and lights are removed.  Do not place trees in plastic bags.

Join the Middletown Township Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) for the next event in the Environmentally Speaking Series: Net-Zero Living — Steps to Lower a Carbon Footprint.

We could all use a lesson on how to live more gently while saving money. In this engaging and lighthearted presentation, Jonathan Sprout, resident of Bryn Gweled Homesteads in Southampton, will share how he transformed his home into a sustainable, Net-Zero model — complete with solar panels, HVAC improvements, and lifestyle changes that reduced both his environmental impact and expenses.

Along the way, you’ll laugh at some of the “best carbon footprint jokes east of the Grand Canyon” and leave with pages of practical, easy-to-implement ideas to start your own Net-Zero journey.

This free seminar is part of the Township’s Environmentally Speaking Series, a public education program hosted by the Middletown Environmental Advisory Council to inspire and inform residents about sustainability topics that impact our community and the planet.
