Holiday Trash Collection Changes & Township Office Schedule

Trash Collection Changes – New Year’s Day (Thursday, Jan. 1)
There will also be no trash collection on Thursday, January 1. Collection will be delayed by one day:

  • Thursday’s collection → Friday, Jan. 2
  • Friday’s collection → Saturday, Jan. 3
Township Holiday Office Schedule
Middletown Township offices will be closed on Thursday, January 1 for New Years Day and reopen on Friday, January 2 at 8:30 AM.
In the event of an emergency, please dial 911.

Christmas Tree Disposal
Christmas trees are picked up on residents’ collection day throughout the month of January.  Make sure all of the decorations and lights are removed.  Do not place trees in plastic bags.

Middletown Township Welcomes First Human Resources Director, Melissa Gargan


Middletown Township is proud to introduce Melissa Gargan as the Township’s Human Resources Director, marking an important milestone in strengthening employee support, professional development, and organizational excellence.

Melissa brings more than 15 years of experience in municipal operations, employee engagement, and program leadership. Her background includes significant service with the Abington Township Police Department, where she oversaw youth programs, community initiatives, and administrative functions that improved department operations.

As Human Resources Director, Melissa will lead Township-wide efforts to enhance employee services, streamline internal processes, and support a workplace culture rooted in collaboration, communication, and professionalism.

Her appointment reflects Middletown Township’s ongoing commitment to investing in its workforce and elevating the services provided to residents.
