The North Flowers Mill Road Drainage Project is scheduled to begin next week, with initial test pit work taking place on Friday, May 30th. Construction will be completed by James D. Morrissey, Inc., with a goal of finishing all work by the end of the day on Friday, June 6th.
The tentative construction schedule is as follows:
-
Friday, May 30: Potholing for potential utility conflicts
-
Tuesday, June 3 – Wednesday, June 4: Tie-in and stormwater system installation at Detective Christopher Jones Way
-
Thursday, June 5: Core and install storm system at the entrance to the Shoppes at Flowers Mill
-
Friday, June 6: Cleanup and demobilization
During construction, one side of the entrance to the municipal complex from North Flowers Mill Road via Detective Christopher Jones Way will be closed during work hours but reopened at the end of each day. Two-way traffic will remain available. Additionally, work near the Shoppes at Flowers Mill will require a temporary closure of the right-turn lane into the shopping center.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the area and follow posted signs during construction.
