Celebrate Safely: Fourth of July Fireworks Laws in Middletown

Jump to calendar

As we prepare to celebrate Independence Day, Middletown Township reminds residents to follow Pennsylvania’s fireworks laws to keep your Fourth of July celebrations safe, legal, and enjoyable for all.

Fireworks are a fun tradition, but there are important rules you must follow within Middletown:

Fireworks cannot be:

  • Discharged within 150 feet of an occupied structure.

  • Discharged on public property, including streets, parks, schools, and open spaces.

  • Discharged within or toward a motor vehicle or building.

  • Discharged by anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Discharged by anyone under the age of 18.

  • Discharged on private property without the permission of the property owner.

Violating these laws can result in fines and, more importantly, can put your neighbors and first responders at risk during the busy holiday.

Please celebrate responsibly, respect your neighbors, and keep Middletown safe this Fourth of July.
