Jump to calendar

✉️ The BLUE ENVELOPE PROGRAM is here in Middletown!

The Blue Envelope Program is a voluntary initiative designed to foster safer and more effective communication between law enforcement and individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) during traffic stops.

Each envelope includes space for the driver to store their license, registration, and insurance, along with helpful communication tools to assist both the driver and the officer during an interaction. Officers also receive guidance on how to recognize and respectfully engage with individuals on the spectrum.

📬 How to Get a Blue Envelope:

  • Stop by the Middletown Township Police Department lobby during business hours to pick one up.

  • Can’t make it in? We’ll bring one to you! Call 215-750-3845 and press 2 for the administrative assistants to provide your Middletown address.

  • Envelopes will also be available at upcoming community events throughout the year.

The Middletown Township Police Department is proud to launch this program as part of our ongoing mission to serve all members of our community with compassion, respect, and dignity.
