In the beginning of 2021, Middletown Township contracted Dynamix Consulting Group to conduct a Fire Services Study. The purpose of the study was to assess the current delivery of fire protection services to the community and offer possible changes pursuant to industry standards and best practices.

Fire services in Middletown Township are provided by four volunteer fire companies—Langhorne Middletown, Parkland, Penndel, and William Penn Fire Companies—as well as Township staff from the Department of Fire & Emergency Management. All volunteers and staff are dedicated to protecting our community. Their hard work is noticed and appreciated by all.

Meetings with leaders and members of the volunteer fire companies, Township staff and administration, and representatives of the Boroughs of Langhorne, Langhorne Manor, Penndel, and Hulmeville, Dynamix Consulting Group compiled their findings into actionable steps we can take to continue to improve our fire services to provide the best service to our community.

This Fire Services Study offers a variety of recommendations to improve the safety of firefighters within Middletown Township and improve the service provided to the community.
