Middletown Township is proud to announce the grand opening of four (4) DC-Fast Charging (DCFC) Level 3 Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations, making history as the first municipality in Pennsylvania to implement fast charging stations. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on March 19, 2024, at 4:30 PM at the Middletown Township Municipal Center.
This significant milestone marks a step forward in the Township's commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. The Level 3 Charging Stations signify a critical investment in clean energy infrastructure, promoting the adoption of electric vehicles and reducing the community's carbon footprint.
"We are thrilled to introduce Middletown Township's Level 3 Charging Stations, further solidifying our position as a leader in sustainable initiatives within the state," said Michael Ksiazek, Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors. " These stations represent our dedication to providing residents and visitors with accessible, convenient, and efficient charging options, supporting the transition to cleaner transportation alternatives."
