Middletown Citizen Service Corps
It can be the little things that create major obstacles for seniors or the disabled living independently in their homes. The mission of the Middletown Citizen Service Corps (MCSC) is to help seniors and the disabled in need to continue to live independently in their homes and to stay connected with their neighborhoods.
MCSC can help in these areas:
Replace smoke detector batteries
Replace hard-to-reach light bulbs
Put on or take off winter covers for air conditioners or outdoor furniture
Remove or install weather stripping on doors or windows
Turn over mattresses
Place or remove window air conditioners
Eliminate tripping or other safety hazards in the home
The next MCSC Day of Service is Saturday, November 12, 2016. MCSC volunteers will be helping get homes ready for the coming winter. If you have a project that you need help with call Lydia at 215-584-5281. You must be a Middletown resident to participate.
If you want to volunteer yourself, your family, your business or your organization to participate in the November Day of Service or to volunteer , please call Lydia at 215-584-5281 or download the Volunteer Application and send it via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
