Get the celebration started early!
The parade starts with a short ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park, 700 Veterans Hwy., Levittown at 9:00 AM.  The route is from the Veterans Memorial Park on Veterans Hwy. to Trenton Road.  The parade follows Trenton Road to Twin Oaks Park.  There is no activity at Twin Oaks Park.  Bleachers will be set up at the Community Center at 2140 Trenton Road and at Statesman Health & Rehabilitation Center at 2629 Trenton Road.  Businesses along the route often set up hospitality tents for people to be able to watch the parade in comfort.

Kick off your Independence Day celebration by marching in the annual Middletown 4th of July Parade.  Families are invited to decorate your bikes, wagons and strollers and walk the 1.5 mile parade route.  Dress in patriotic outfits or costumes or dress up your pets and march in the parade.  The parade begins at 9:00 AM at the Veterans Memorial Park on Veterans Hwy in Levittown. Families who want a shorter walk can join the parade at the halfway point at the Raymond P. Mongillo, Sr. Community Center at 2140 Trenton Road.
It is easy to register.  Fill out the entry form and send it in so we will be looking for you on parade day.

Each year the Parade Committee judges the floats entered in the parade to find the Fan Favorite.  The winner of the Float Contest gets to keep the Middletown Cup in their business or organization's office for the year and the organization's name is engraved on the Cup.  The Cup is presented to the winners at a televised public meeting of the Board of Supervisors.

It isn't very hard to build a float.  Just a quick Goggle search brings up an assortment of building instructions and float ideas.  Here is a sample link.  Build a Float   Once you have your idea, submit the Float Entry Form and you will be on your way to winning the Middletown Cup this year.
